The extraordinary richness of the past and the multiplicity of the present meet harmoniously in the city of Florence. The logo must therefore represent and bring together history and modernity itself, in a elegant and measured way.
Past
The representation of the historical beauty brought to the contemporary world, take place through the visual structure of the logo, which is built around abstract lines, simple but recognizable, graphic patterns and architectural taken from the monuments of the city, and inspired in particular by the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and the Ponte Vecchio.
Present
The Florence of today, alive and dynamic, is found in variety of colors applied to the logo, which represent the diversity of the modern, characterized in the city especially by the world of Haute Couture, which has considerable importance also on the international scene. The colors of the logo are bright but the tones stay harmonious and are not in conflict with each other, to represent the balance and elegance of the historical and cultural elements of the present and the past.
The logo does not show up only as a static image, but also as a graphical modular system, easy to assemble depending on the scope of use, to satisfy in the best way to different environments that Florence has to offer.
